Common problems

The most common operational questions are usually about blocked features, missing notifications, incomplete sign-in, or warning banners. Each entry names the exact state to check and the action to take.

What this section covers

Why "Create" in the list manager shows a warning and the list is not created: the account is in demo mode. Demo mode blocks creating working lists. Complete sign-in via Telegram to get trial access, or restore the subscription.
Why email sign-in does not finish after entering the password: new email accounts start in demo mode and require opening the confirmation link sent to that email before the account is fully active.
Why the Telegram bind link does not work or shows as expired: the bind link is valid for 5 minutes only. If the time has passed, return to Account settings and generate a new link.
Why Telegram is not available as a delivery channel option: Telegram is not yet bound to the account. Go to Account settings and complete the Telegram bind flow first.
Why Email is not available as a delivery channel option: the email address is either not set or not confirmed. Go to Account settings, enter the email, and open the confirmation link from the email that arrives.
Why a price notification was not delivered to Telegram or email: check three things — is the delivery channel set? Is Telegram bound / email confirmed? Is the account subscription active? All three must be true.
Why local alert sound does not play when an in-app alert fires: either the browser tab is muted, the device volume is zero, or the sound was not selected. General parameter alerts use the Settings sound; Print activity uses its own sound selector in the alerts window.
Why the coin list loads slowly or shows a warning about data synchronization: more than 300 coins are enabled for one exchange/market pair. The warning is expected behavior and not an error — the data is loading, but it takes longer than for smaller lists.
Why Print activity becomes heavy or connects too many streams: "All list" scope monitors every coin in the current list. Use "Selected symbols" for large lists and select only the coins you actually need.
Why settings import/export or list import buttons are disabled: these transfer actions are blocked in demo and trial access states. List export is separate and can still be used when lists are available.
Why a settings or list import file is rejected: the file is not a Watchlist.top export file, has an unsupported version, is empty, or is larger than the allowed size.
Why an automatic chart pattern is not visible: pattern detection may be disabled, the current timeframe may not be selected, no pattern passed the score/age/distance filters, or confirmed-only mode filtered it out.
Why metric values look different after opening the product in a different browser: verify you are signed in with the same account. Settings are stored in your account and load automatically on sign-in.
Why settings changed in anonymous demo are missing on another device: anonymous demo stores settings only in the current browser because there is no user account to sync to.
Why a delivered price notification moved to "Inactive" without firing: the subscription expired while the notification was active. Renew the subscription to reactivate it.
Why the OI cell is empty: the OI column may be disabled, the instrument may be spot-only, or the selected "Change" display may not have a comparison point yet. Switch OI to "Value" to check whether the current value is available.
Why the OI tooltip says "Waiting for data..." or "No data": "Waiting for data..." means the OI request has not finished yet; "No data" means the selected instrument does not currently have a usable OI value for that list cell.
Why OI has a value but no color: Change mode needs both current and past OI points for the selected comparison period. Value mode is gradient-colored only when quote-coin display is selected; base-coin display leaves the OI cell uncolored.
Why Android system notifications do not appear: Android notification permission may be denied, OS notifications may be disabled in Settings, or the event type may only create an in-app toast.
Why Android update opens a download instead of Telegram: current Android update links point directly to the versioned APK on watchlist.top.
Why the chart appears empty after switching coins — candles are not visible and the price area looks blank: the price axis scale was locked manually by dragging the axis. Double-click the price axis to restore auto-scaling.

Step-by-step flow

If a feature is blocked with a demo warning: open Account settings, check the current access state (demo / trial / subscribed). If demo — complete Telegram sign-in or restore the subscription.
If email confirmation was not received: check the spam folder. If nothing arrived, return to Account settings and resend the confirmation email.
If the Telegram bind link expired: go to Account settings → Telegram bind section → generate a new link. Open it within 5 minutes.
If Telegram is not receiving price notifications: verify that (1) Telegram is bound, (2) Telegram is selected as the delivery channel, (3) the subscription is active, and (4) the bot is not blocked in Telegram.
If an in-app toast or sound does not work: check that the tab is open, the tab is not muted, and the right sound is configured. If a native OS/browser notification does not appear, check that browser permission is granted and the OS notifications toggle is enabled. For Print activity, also check the sound selector in Event notifications → By parameters → Print activity.
If the coin list shows the data sync warning: this is expected when 300+ coins are enabled. Wait for the initial sync. Consider reducing the coin count if the delay is too long.
If Print activity is too heavy: switch from "All list" to "Selected symbols", use the exchange/market filters, and leave only the symbols you need checked.
If settings import/export or list import is disabled: check Account settings and confirm that the account is not in demo or trial state. List export is not the same lock.
If a chart pattern is missing: open Settings → Chart, enable patterns, include the current timeframe, and relax score, age, distance, or confirmed-only filters if needed.
If settings appear missing after switching browsers: make sure you are signed in with the same account. Settings are stored in your account and load automatically on sign-in.
If settings are missing after using anonymous demo on another device: sign in first. Anonymous demo settings are local to one browser and are not synced.
If OI is empty or uncolored: open Settings → Common → Open interest, check that the feature is enabled, switch between Value and Change, check quote/base display, and verify that the selected comparison period has a value.
If Android system notifications do not appear: check Android app notification permission, the OS notifications switch in Settings, and whether the alert still appears as an in-app toast.
If the Android update button does not open Telegram: this is expected for current builds. The button downloads the APK from watchlist.top.

Operational notes

Demo mode is not an error state. It can be anonymous without sign-in, signed-in without a subscription, or the default state for new email registrations. The product is still usable in demo mode; specific features are limited.
The Telegram bind link expires in 5 minutes by design. This is a security measure. Always generate a fresh link and use it immediately.
OS/browser notification permission is managed by the browser, not the application. The application cannot override a "denied" permission — change it manually in browser settings.
The data sync warning for large lists is informational. The data is loading; no action is required unless you want to reduce the coin count.
Print activity on the whole list is useful for small focused lists, but large lists should normally use selected symbols to avoid unnecessary browser and stream load.
Settings export files and list export files are separate formats. A settings import cannot read a list export file, and a list import cannot read a settings export file.
Automatic pattern overlays are filtered calculation results. If no pattern passes the current filters, the chart will simply show no pattern.
Server-side price notifications are not deleted when the subscription expires — they move to inactive. No data is lost.
Settings are stored on Watchlist.top servers only after sign-in. Anonymous demo keeps settings in local browser storage.
OI Change cells can be empty when the selected comparison value is unavailable. OI Value cells can also be uncolored when base-coin display is enabled.
Android notification permission is controlled by Android. The app can use the permission when it is granted, but it cannot force notifications after the permission was denied.

When to use it

When something should already work but the visible behavior does not match what you expect.
When you want to start diagnosing from concrete checks rather than general theory.
When an alert fired but you got no notification, or a feature appears unavailable for no obvious reason.

If you are still learning the product for the first time — start with the quick-start guide.
If your question is only about a formula or where a specific control is located.

Typical interpretation mistakes

Skipping explicit account, channel, and alert state checks and jumping straight to vague reassurances.
Ignoring whether you are on a demo, trial, or paid plan when features seem locked.
Assuming the UI appearance alone proves that server delivery or account verification is already complete.
